Over this past weekend, Evoution Toy had a number of new and upcoming figure's on display. While we saw some previously announced releases again, by far the biggest new comes in the form of their new announcements.
HAF (Hero Action Figure) Redman (reissue) Grounzel & Skyzel (Space Ironmen Kyodyne) Inazuman Gridman Gridman Sigma Triple Fighter KAF (Kaiju Action Figure) Kanegon (Redman comic version) Most of these figure's are scheduled for release in 2019 though several don't have specific release details as of yet. General retail price appears to be 8800 yen across both HAF and the new KAF line as well.

That Inazuman definitely has my interest, dunno if he's worth like $80 though.

I wonder who keeps buying those for Evolution Toy to continue making them. They are overpriced, way below Japanese standards in terms of build quality and some of them just flat-out suck. Gridman for example looks horrible.
Are people really that desperate for articulated niche-Toku characters? I personally would rather pass than spending my money on something so obviously subpar. |

I mean I for one am that desperate for some of Ishinomori's more classic characters. But even I'm hard pressed to give evolution more money after 3 dismal Redman figures.
They always have bad QC. Their Gridman stuff looks awful. But as far as Inazuman & the Kyodyne go, there is nothing else. There has't been anything else ever, no other poseable figure options other than a couple of SIC interpretations of Inazuman, and the reboot Kyodyne designs that were SHF's from Fourze. Bu Toys announced Kyodyne figure's a couple years ago that I was ridiculously excited for, but they were shelved and never released. As badly as I hate to give Evolution more money, this is pretty much it in terms of a lot of the characters they produce.

Is it bad that I think the Super Minipla Gridman looks better then the Evolution Toy one?

So, uh, I like Inazuman, and was getting hype until I started reading this thread.
What are the problems Evolution Toys have? I haven't bought any of their products, so I don't really know...

The Kanegon isn't "exclusive to the comics". He looks like that in the Redman show.

These are ridiculously priced.
And there were action figures of Kyodain and Inazuman in (I think) the late 90s/early 00s. They're not even that expensive on ebay, and they look better than this. |
