Are Northstar and Kyle Jinadu still married or did one of the get devoured by and ethereal hellbeast or some other stupid ass reason used to end superhero couples? I mean, ignoring the controversy surrounding gay marriage, the two ARE a married couple in the Marvel Universe and I'm curious if Mephisto tried buying their marriage in exchange for the life of Aurora's pet gerbil or something.

I'm slowly reading through the updated Sailor Moon manga Kodonosha released last year. I'm in Chapter 11 where Endymion is now under Beryl's control.
I'm also slowly reading through Saga of the Swamp Thing (up to Volume 4), One Piece, and Attack on Titan. |

Me again?
Grapes of Wrath Finished the book before school started and it was okay. The ending was really fuckin' weird. That dude's life is never going uphill at that point. The Crucible I also had to read this for school. It was a play about the Salem witch trials, written in the 1950s as commentary on the Communist scare and McCarthyism at the time. Its really short, but its interesting and has a lot of underlying themes to it. |

Currently reading Dragonball. I'm at the tower of the Red Ribbon Army and so far, this series is quite awesome. I have to say that kid Goku is far more interesting than his adult counterpart.

Now reading "Percy Jackson's Greek Gods", I'm only on Chapter 3 and I'm hooked. Literally hooked.

I've been reading the Knights of Sidonia manga recently after watching the anime, I'm really enjoying it. I'm currently on vol. 8, it's probably my favorite one yet. I only have one chapter left tough, I better go ahead and order the remaining two volumes!

Well, I read the House of Hades (Percy Jackson Series 2 B4) and it was very good. Lots of drama, tension, humour, other stuff. Now, I have to wonder why I haven't read it since I got it at Xmas

Well I just finished the final chapter of the original Dragonball series and overall, it was utterly fantastic. The adventure of watching Goku go from isolated child to a badass adult was pretty damn awesome, but in some ways, I wish he had stayed a kid. I just find him to be far more interesting as a child than an adult. Nevertheless, the adventures within the series were great and there were a lot of hilarity throughout the series. The Chi Chi fight at the tournament is one of the funniest moments for me. Goku's reaction was great. I also loved the introduction to Pilaf and the breaking the fourth wall bits, along with his disgust over Bulma's vulgarity. However, there seems to be two details missing from the manga and now I'm curious where they came from. The first being why is Pilaf and gang stuck as children? When did that happen for it to be a plot point in both GT and Battle of Gods? Secondly, in the Z anime they said Goku trained in the Room of Space and Time, was that an anime invention? If so, how do they train in the manga during the Cell saga to get stronger? Wait, don't tell me, I'll get there soon enough. My favorite arcs include the first two Tenkai'ichi Bodoukais and the Red Ribbon Army.
Overall, I am glad I have finally had the chance to read through the original series so I now know where everything is in the Z anime. Of course, I've also started watching the DB anime (up to episode 32), but I can't say the anime has grasp me as much as the manga. Nevertheless, I give this series a great 9/10 stars and look forward to reading through the Z portion now. |
