I would say it is, given how they only ever appeared in one story Seems an odd choice for the 50th anniversary, but I can get behind it. I doubt they'll be the only monsters appearing.

I would be surprised if the Daleks won't be in there somewhere. Then again, considering how apathetic Moffat is to Daleks, maybe we won't see them after all.

They look cool enough I guess. It could at least make for an interesting and original story if they haven't been used too much.
Also, is it bad that I really don't like the Daleks? I've only really watched Eccleston and Smith's runs, but even before that I knew about them and thought they were ridiculous... |

You are now on my enemies list
Nah, each to their own. I can see exactly why people would think they're ridiculous. Plus I think Dalek is the only new series story that's done them proper justice. The season 1 and 4 finales came close, but the typical RTD-cop out endings kinda spoilt them.

I've only watched the Third Doctor ones and while they're okay, I'm not sure they're really amazing in any of them.

Knowing nothing of the Zygons...
I was about to say "yay?" until I thought about it more. Knowing nothing of the Zygons - this is awesome! We need new alien enemies! It seems every time one of the old species is reintroduced (Cybermen, Daleks, Sontarans, etc.) they get wayyy overused. A new enemy species is most welcome in my book.

Planet of the Daleks is my favourite (which I guess you've seen if you've watched the third Doctor ones), but its not necessarily one I'd highly recommend. I like it for a lot of nostalgic reasons, but a chunk of the plot is a rehash of the first Dalek story.
I would say the two must-see stories are Genesis of the Daleks and The Dalek Invasion of Earth. The Daleks is a great story too, but can get a little long-winded at times. Once you've seen Genesis, then I recommend Remembrance of the Daleks since Dalek civil wars are always fun to watch

I guess if it really is the quintessential Dalek story I might just shell out money to import a DVD. I have also always been fascinated with the Dalek Invasion of Earth (another Classic I haven't watched) but I haven't really heard much about Remembrance yet. I'm going to have a look at it. No way man! The Third Doctor rules! But I can't say much when I haven't seen an inch of the Fourth.
