Pretty Cure All Stars DX3 : Deliver the Future! The Rainbow~Colored Flower That Connects the World!
MAGICAL GIRL MOVIES DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE THIS BADASS!!! Ok, ok, let's try this again, now that my brain is starting to work again. The third movie in the Crossover series also happens to be the first one I have ever watched, since I finally reached the point in Suite where it happens and I have watched HeartCatch, so why not? Maybe starting with the third wasn't the best idea ever, or maybe it was the right call, this movie pulls absolutely no brakes, it's quite the rollercoaster, Hibiki and Kanade show up, they cross with Tsubomi, and then boom, plot happens and it never bothers stopping. So essentially you'll be lost and trying to keep up the entire time, just like the Suite duo, and you'll be lost in the most hilarious way, because the movie is a frigging riot, it's mostly comedic till the final confrontation at which point it gets super emotional and then insanely awesome, in what has to be one of the longest and coolest finishing moves ever. Character wise nothing much really happens, but with a cast of 21, the fact that they manage to get good moments for everyone is already impressive, the main development is about the trust between the Lead Cures and their Secondaries, it's okay, I felt the blues were treated too much like sidekicks at times, but ultimately the message fulfilled it's role. What I didn't expect was to like the Yes! cast so much! Rouge was a great straight man to the hijinks of the movie, Lemonade was a fun airhead, Mint and Aqua didn't do much but came across as level headed and mature. But Dream, omg Dream! Everything Nozomi says or does is incredibly awesome and hotblooded, I'm starting to see why the fandom seems to like her so much. All in all, I loved DX3. Btw, I think this sums up the movie pretty well: |
