If the S.H.Figuarts Shin Ultraman is too small for you, don't worry, Tamashii will also release a version of him in their new "Dynaction"-line, which is basically a super-sized Figuart that stands 40cm / 16 inch tall.
https://sp.tamashii.jp/item_brand/dynaction/#! For a sense of scale, here's the previously released Dynaction EVA-01 alongside its SHF-scaled Robot Damashii figure. |

Yeah to hell with the figuarts, this looks promising.

I'm not super interested in getting Figuarts Shin Ultraman. But I'm interested in getting this though?

Seems like the Dynaction line is perfect for big characters like Eva, Gridman, and Ultraman.
This lowkey makes me want a Dynaction of J, though... |

"Too rich for my blood..." As great as it looks, I'll probably pass. Don't got the dough to sink into.

I'm down for this. When they showed the Dynaction EVA-01 Unit I was on the verge of buying it, but ultimately passed because even though I like the EVA-01 design and have some figures of it already, I don’t feel like I'm big enough of an Evangelion fan to commit to such a huge piece.
Ultraman on the other hand? No questions asked, I will never get tired of having a huge Ultraman figure in my house. I wonder how they're gonna distinguish this release from the Evangelion-stuff, mostly because there aren't many options for accessories here. EVA-01 comes with lots of hands, 2 weapons and optional shoulder pylon parts. I don’t really see how they can incorporate so much for Ultraman, especially with the Figuarts version only coming with 3 sets of hands. I'm hoping for electronics as a gimmick honestly, light-up eyes would be really cool. Dude... that would be so awesome. |

Fully revealed, goes up for pre-order April 28th in Japan. ¥22000, features diecast parts for the inner frame, light-up eyes, a tiny in-scale humanoid figure and a display stand. And it's absolutely massive.
