And that, I believe, is the last of Inoue you'll see in Blade until the movie. I remember this in particular because, like, this was a special moment for me. Blade was my final Heisei series so when I got to these episodes I was like "... oh my god I'm finally done with Inoue". Slight difference in how we see the guy's writing!

Also, while we're still on this subject, I definitely side a bit more with Die in this case. I don't dislike Garren's Jack Form, but Blade's is a lot more immediately striking in a good way, I find. I have a real soft spot for it, even though it doesn't seem to have a lot of post-series popularity. Still really looking forward to the Kiva thread!

I'm looking for ways to disable notifications specifically for it! Might chip in for the first episode or two, but... I've been making a joke about my disdain for it, but in reality, my bigger problems with the show are things that are not fun to discuss. You want any payoff Fish, you're gonna have to PM me for it!

Oh there is absolutely no Blade OP 1 hate comin' from this house. That thing is beautifully stupid, confusing and wonderful in a way that can only be described as Quintessentially Blade, hence why it's an amazing opening!

All I am gonna say is Bandai owes us a plethora of Ryo the Taiyaki Master merch. I'm talking figuarts, figure-rise standard, SHODO and SO-DO figures, t-shirts, a CSM taiyaki cooking mold, replica uniforms of both taiyaki and takoyaki houses, etc. If they can give us ONE AB of a muscular comedian robot why not Taiyaki Master.

Just that thinking about some things you seemingly force others to be the same like Fourze's Magnet States vs Cosmic States, or uh... Jean. But in other times some differences are given free pass such as Jin's type of comedy! Now a bit confused on what to think and predict, and certainly dreading the former part (I fear this in any place I go), especially if it's regarding Inoue. No offense, just that all of these seems blind for Inoue for some reason to me, which made me inform that those that had problems acknowledge some of his good parts like slice of life or comedy, overall being better on leash, but his extreme edgelord and screwing up parts aspects aren't ignored.

I think there might be a language barrier, so rest assured, he really hasn't been forcing opinions onto anyone. It's all jokey, and done in a way that makes it obvious he's joking; he's never actually tried to force his opinions onto anyone and he's actually gone above and beyond to be as respectful as he can be. I mean, heck, he puts up with me saying I don't like Inoue every two seconds! ... for the moment...

Like, think of it as me giving the first part an A, and the second part a B-, so both episodes together would maybe get a B or a B+. Quote:
For Tachibana getting Jack Form, does it remind you of Kusaka giving Takumi the Axel? Also, in a non-Inoue episode, Kenzaki was also handed the Jack Form by Shima, on a similar way too for me. But the part of him actually turning into a swordsman, with that bayonet on his weapon though.
And, yeah, Kenzaki gets handed his as well, but there's at least a minor subplot about him needing to make himself worthy of it before Shima hands it over. If this show is suggesting that Tachibana is more innately heroic than Kenzaki... no. No way. Quote:

And so ends the last episode of Blade that I truly enjoyed until one very later on. Rest in peace, Early Blade. You will be missed.
