If I knew they were definitely coming to America, my answer is a big 'HELLS YEAH'.
Especially if they make the rest of the Beetleborgs and Beetleborgs Metallix armors. Otherwise, if there is no indication of them bringing them out here, I'll import them. Shame Bluefin never tried to get the S.H. Figuarts figure released in Japan that was used as Ryan Steele's second form in VR Troopers (I can't remember the Japanese name at this time).

If I knew for an absolute fact there would be a Bluefin release and that the packaging wouldn't be altered, then yes, I would wait. But those factors are simply too tenuous to rely on for an extended period past the Japanese release of the figure.
Say a US release never happened and I'd passed on them, just like previous SHF's Metal Hero they'd be worth well more than retail and very difficult to find. Even now the two Gavan's, Sharivan, & Shaider sell for 5000-6000 yen. And it's been two years since they came out almost.

I don't care if they change the packaging for the figures. It's the same figure, but in a different box. It's like saying you won't eat a bag of Doritos if they change the bag now.

Huge props to anyone here, if, and when, they get Shadowborg/Black Beet, and pose it in front of Deluxe Serpentera if they have it.

I agree. The Japanese boxes do usually look a bit nicer, but it's irrelevant to me since it just goes into storage as soon as I remove the figure, which is exactly the same regardless of whether or not it's Japan/US. For people who display the boxes though, I understand why they would be more selective about which type of packaging they want.

But in any case the heart of the matter is when or even if the figures would come here. The months playing the waiting game to find out whether Bluefin would have distribution rights for them means I could miss the order window in Japan. As I said previous Metal Hero figures have doubled in price after release and I'd rather not have to go through that because I hoped they'd be released here and then they weren't. Id love it if Bluefin could get them for people who have access to their services here but I just can't take that risk personally.

That's great for you guys if that's what you want, but that's not what I want. Much like Kamen Riders being released here in the proper boxes I'd like these guys to be as well. For someone who wants a BBB box more power to you, that's just not what I'm after.

Last September, Bluefin did talk about seeing S.H.Figuarts releases from Big Bad Beetle Borgs.
http://henshinjustice.com/2013/09/12...a-possibility/ Almost a year later, we finally got them. Bluefin seems to know what's being made in Japan. So far, they said nothing about them. Licensing takes some time to happen, so I will have fingers cross. If they don't release them then I won't cry over it. I will likely pre-order them on the last minute on CSToys. I doubt the demand for them will be huge on the after market like the Kyoryuger figuarts or the S.H Figuarts of SSj Vegeta. |
