TokuNation.com revealed to everyone yesterday via our coverage at NYCC 2013 that the previously SDCC exclusive Gold Legacy Morpher would be available for order at Toys'R'Us.
That pre-order is now live. Click here to pre-order your Gold Legacy Morpher! This morpher is different than the SDCC exclusive morpher as the gold is not gold plated as it is more of a flat gold color. Also, the coins are not plated in gold and instead are weathered like the standard Legacy Morpher coins. Are you ordering yours? The release date is slated at 01/28/2014. Thanks to raz and Fury Diamond for the heads up!!

Part of me is definitely glad that I was wrong (I had said that I didn't think we would see a retail version of this), but another part of me would have liked to have known about this before buying my Legacy morpher. I would have passed on it in-favor of this. I'll have to save up and get this. Hopefully I'll be able to either find one locally, or save up enough to put in a preorder before that's nolonger an option.
Now, how about a Tigerzord and Saba for 2015?

The people that paid through the nose for an SDCC one must be kicking themselves right now.

I don't think they are "supposed" to. But I pre ordered a MP Optimus Prime from them last year and while they didnt officially charge me, the did put a pending hold on my account. It went away after a few days but the hold did damage putting me in overdraft and causing $62 in overdraft fees.

I'm very pleased to see the '1 item per order' restriction on this. I hope that continues for future releases, especially the Dragonzord.

Lol... Well it's different kind of, but to me it's pretty much the same thing. I know I would be pissed off if I paid like 1000.00 for the sdcc version. All I want is a die cast Tommy morpher. I can careless if it's gold plated with real gold. To me it's a cool toy I want for my collection! I'm so freaking happy! Yes and Saba with die cast parts next? Maybe?
