Making jokes about something that's causing economies around the world to crash, has killed thousands upon thousands of people, has no known cure and is causing panic across the globe, and is on the brink of truly becoming a global pandemic is probably not the best thing to decide to make jokes about it.
Hell, in a year's time we may all know someone who has gotten seriously ill from this or even passed away. If you cannot respect that - whether it be our wishes not to do so or the idea of just being a decent human being not knowing if someone here or someone reading here is literally going through this virus - then I dunno what to tell ya. Cheers.

Corona Virus is a really serious issue, but it is not going to be some doomsday virus like The Black Plague was in the 1300s. I do feel sorry for anyone who has died or has been sick by it.

I ordered up Hurricane Ranger from Shout Factory today. Nothing else caught my interest right now. By the time I add Jet Man , Go Go 5 , Time Ranger and Growl Ranger Shout may have it sorted out to continue the Toei Ranger release. Brian said they were negotiating.
Nothing else looked all that great DVD wise anyway. I get NHK Newsline at 4 PM CST my time plus DW News at 4:30 and they both have the latest on Carona as well as Outside Source from BBC. Last edited by wentwood; 02-28-2020 at 03:31 PM.. |

This place is a blast, you're all the best. Got to spend the day at the comics show going on in Chicago, C2E2. It's mostly work, swinging by and talking to people in the industry that we're friends with, making plans for the future, that sort of socializing/networking shit. It's fun, but, like, work-fun. You know? Only really picked up a couple of things. Daniel Warren Johnson, a creator we're friends with, did a fan comic for the retirement of Jushin Thunder Liger, which came out great. Zander Cannon, another friendly creator, had a great print of a map from his comic Kaijumax (an excellent "what if Ultraman threw kaiju in jail" comic series everyone on the boards should be reading), so that got bought. A couple toku-related things from the show. First, sort-of bummed out at Bluefin's setup. They only brought five Kamen Rider things: the SICs for Ghost and Fourze, and three Figure-rise kits. No Figuarts at all for that brand. A million Gundam kits, and a bunch of DMZ things, but basically nothing for Kamen Rider. Second, got to spend a little bit of time catching up with Kyle Higgins, and he talked about some upcoming projects. The one everyone should hear about this weekend is definitely going to appeal to fans of his Power Rangers stuff, as he moves into another tokusatsu corner with a property that hasn't had much of a comics presence... maybe ever, as far as North American comics go. (I don't remember any American publishers, especially one this big, taking a run at it before.) It's for a franchise that's not really my thing, like MMPR, but hopefully that franchise's fans'll dig it. The other thing he's got upcoming sounds like a pretty amazing original property that's got some toku DNA mixed with some American superhero stuff. Character designs looked awesome, and it felt like a fresh attempt at doing in American comics the kind of stuff that works in Sentai/Rider shows. I don't know, I've probably said way too much, but both books seemed like they'd appeal to toku fans, and that original property is one I'm psyched to read, so keep an eye open for more announcements in the future.
