I think this marks the end of this string of 'Silver and one other person' episodes. It was a pretty classic kind of story, fighting to bring back the ranger who's under evil influence. I don't know if it necessarily revealed or developed anything about Takamichi or Mabusheena, but I can say I've never been more sure of their care for each other as siblings, and of Juuru's 'leaderness' (maybe a better word would be 'protagonistness', because only a real main character can declare how they won't let anyone suffer like that!).
For our first really satisfying beatdown on Garza, I was expecting a big fight where they all pummel him, but instead they just go right for blowing it up with a big finisher. That's still alright, I guess. Also it was nice to briefly see all three mecha standing side-by-side, even if they didn't do anything together. It's a bit of a shame because any day now, including this episode, could be King Express' last appearance. |

I’m just loving the subtle touch that the Yodon Changer has Galza’s voice instead of Oladdin’s.
The gag that made the episode for me was Muryo and Shiguru throwing Juru out for his bad acting skills. Also, I think the title is taking the “movie reference theme naming” thing a bit too far. |

Now, you might think this episode's heavy focus on Juuru would force me to admit that Riku Sanjou really can't help himself, but then, Takamichi has been getting enough love from every writer on the show to make Daigo himself blush. After seven straight episodes, that finally seems to be coming to an end with this one, which certainly has the feel of a sort of parking spot for this whole plotline.
I was prepared for this to be at least a two-parter given that Takamichi gets a brand new changer here that P-Bandai would be very happy if you went and pre-ordered right now, but it turns out it was a one-and-done deal. Which is almost a shame, because as cool as Kivat is, the world could always use more transformation devices voiced by Yuuichi Nakamura. This is maybe beside the point, though. The actual plot this is based around, I quite liked. It's fairly simple, but those couple of major beats it had worked fantastically. Juuru's knack for paying attention to people's feelings comes in handy in a really neat way, with him making the connection that Mabusheena and Takamichi actually have the exact same attitude towards one another, and from there taking action that ultimately results in the two of them patching things up, albeit a little indirectly. It's also interesting to note that the plot device of Juuru having dream chats with Oradin is back from Sanjou's previous pair of episodes introducing King Express. I have to wonder if another writer will actually use that idea too eventually. They're arguably a cheap way to move the plots forward, but they're fun scenes that contribute to an overall mystery they're building with Juuru's weird connection to the king. Oh, and speaking of King Express, the show once again gets props for not undermining Garza too much, with Juuru combining simply to hold him back while the other guys handle the giant monster. Anyway, Takamichi and Mabusheena's reconciliation more than anything seems to mark this one as a clear break in Kiramai Silver's subplot, which is more than welcome at this point. I've appreciated the sense of direction he's given the series, but I could do with some nice plots strictly about the main five again, too. And it definitely looks like we're getting that next week. I have a very strong feeling the next episode is going to be ~good~. Not that I have much to base that on, but I mean, the preview looked super fun!

It's odd that silver cares more for his adopted family than his human ones . Did he even bother skype calling or visiting them with the white inter dimension travel device? |

Fun episode. I'm still not 100% sure if I like the whole "Collecting treasure so a curse which might or might not affect Mabusheena can be lifted"-idea but the character interactions are sweet enough so I guess its okay.
But honestly - what the hell is going on in that preview, next week's episode promises to be very entertaining already |

Still haven't seen it yet, I find it hard after watching Zero One's recent episode.

I'm hoping the recharge speed of those stones is REALLY slow. Like they can only start reusing them at the very end of the series even, otherwise even stones that can only grant certain wishes are pretty OP.
It's kinda an interesting twist on the wish granting object though. |

Takamichi isn't the only one who fell into evil darkness. Someone's already had done that before him and he's Masumi Inou/BoukenBlack of Gougou Sentai Boukenger. You know, Yaiba of Darkness had told the Fast Adventurer that he (Masumi) has darkness inside of him. However, Masumi managed to resist this evil act and killed Yaiba, but he was terrified and won't return to the Search Guard Successor until he heard that Satoru Akashi/BoukenRed was thought to be dead exploding the Precious Bank with Ryuuwon (Luckily, "Chief" and Zubaan survived). Are there any Super Sentai Heroes and Heroines that fell into evil darkness aside from Takamichi and Masumi?
