The redesigns for the film look a lot like the SIC toys that came out a long time ago:

Actually they are specifically based on the SIC designs from what I've heard.

PRobably for the best. The original costume's just too cartoony looking to really work as villains.

I assume they'll be back in the original costumes by the end of the movie and that Sannagiman will become Inazuman as well. One final, last, ultimate tribute to Ishinimori.

I don't know if they will go back to those original costumes for the Akumaizer 3 (they were insanely goofy, even for those days!), but I do hope that you're right about them-- and Inazuman, even in Sannagiman form-- returning to heroes again. I don't like the idea of these characters, all with their own Taku history, just being used as fodder for a modern movie. Especially Inazuman whom has always been one of my favorite Tokusatsu characters of all time. (I still think his design is just awesome!!) What will they do next? Have Robot Detective Keiji show up as some kind of Terminator??
