He is part of the reason that I think that Zyuohger should be adapted! He has so many possibilities that just can't be ignored.
Most of the Deathgalien have interesting designs, but aren't all that fleshed-out as characters. Bangray has an incredible power and is just all around dirty! |

Not surprised that Hasbro chose the current Dino Series to adapt. Dinos never get skipped. True they could have saved it for 2023 and Series XXX of Power Rangers.
With them doing a 4th Dino series I'm curious to see what show gets picked in 2023. Power Rangers skipped 4 Series to do it. As for Toei I hope Shout resumes more releases on DVD. |

Most of the Deathgalien have interesting designs, but aren't all that fleshed-out as characters. Bangray has an incredible power and is just all around dirty! Ginis himself is a wonderful refreshing change of pace from what were mostly a lot of take-over-the-world/destroy-all-humans types of main villains in a row. Swerving from that into the idea of everything being a game for the villains allows Zyuohger to feel a lot more different even when it's playing by the usual formulas, and even lends a lot more credibility and sense to some of those long-running formulas -- why do they send down one at a time, why do they wait until later to make them grow, etc. It's not quite as good as Go-Busters in what it does, but it reminds me of that season in how minor little touches made it a lot more memorable and lent it more of an identity. The generals as well have a LOT more going for them than most, who usually fall into just being generally powerful characters or at best rivals for the Red. Instead, even though some of it is late-game and only hinted at along the course of the show; we get a lot more backstory and points of interest going on with both. I don't want to spoil either because they're great twists, but both of them end up being wonderful parallels or spoils with the Zyuohgers and the threat of the Dethgaliens in general. And then of course you've got Bangray, who I really like looking back on him. The show could easily have run 50 episodes with its basic premise and villains like most Sentai and been just as fine, but throwing a wrench in the Dethgaliens with Bangray makes for a wonderful change of pace and behind-the-scenes politics. He comes in just late enough and exits just early enough to not outstay his welcome and makes sure the Dethgaliens have to constantly be doing something different, even when their usual shtick alone is so fresh as compared to the past 5 years.

I've seen Power Rangers Ninja Storm and know that Navy And Crimson join the Rangers after Thunder Strangers.
In Hurricane Ranger the 1st appearance is #07 so when do they join? Last edited by wentwood; 03-11-2020 at 05:56 PM.. |

NinjaRed and HurricaneRed appeared in Ninninger and the team gained powers based on theirs.
In a later episode in the series, probably in the middle or toward the end, AkaNinger used both of their powers and seemed to shift into their forms momentarily, almost like a Gokai Change. Does anyone remember this battle, and more specifically, which episode? |

Well at the end of Ninja Steel Part 1 (01 - 20) Brody split the Red Ninja Power Star into 3 and he , Dane and Mick became 3 Red Rangers.
When had it happen in Ninja Ranger? |

Thanks. Saw that part on DVD in Ninja Steel.
Currently watching Time Ranger on DVD. I like it so far but they did the mystery man bit way earlier than Time Force. In Time Force we hadn't seen it till The Time Shadow. Also 5 left for Zyu (Beast) Ranger and final disk. (Shout Release) The 92 Dino series was a decent pick for MMPR I. I can see why Shout released it first on DVD. I may check out Jet Man soon. DVD release. |

Oh, and if anyone is wondering, the five-part competition did not take over a dozen episodes to complete, unbelievable as it might seem.

I started watching Hurricane Ranger on DVD.
Having seen Ninja Storm when do the Navy and Crimson Thunder Rangers join the Wind Rangers? On 08 Wind And Thunder The Thunder Rangers are still evil. Also finished Zyu (Beast) Ranger last night leaving the Ninja series to finish up what was adapted for MMPR. Last edited by wentwood; 03-28-2020 at 09:22 AM.. |
