It's like a modern Square enix designer did these costumes. So much going on, and not in a "look at the fine detail" sort of way, more in a "Scramble your eyes because they can't focus on so much going on" sort of way. They kept designing and didn't know when to stop.
For all the good it did them. There's nothing here that stands out to me portraying a motif. I'm more likely to think of birds because of the beak like helmets. The colors are horridly washed out and drab. I have no problem with different, I knew these would never be just like the original suits nor should they. But the visual here is at best limited artistically and at worst creatively bankrupt. Mush together Zack Snyder's Superman, a Halo spartan, Iron Man, a dash of Tron, and there you go. Generic as hell scifi suits. Also the boob armor is a lot more noticeably bad here. Goddamn, I just cannot gain any interest outside of the curiosity at how cynical this could turn out. |

Not bad. Obviously they'll look so much better with the mask on. Reminds of Power Rangers Ninja Storm when their helmets opened up.

I really think the suits come off as a bit too...'busy'? I mean I'm looking at the helmets and can still barely tell what each of them should be in terms of an animal/dinosaur.
And I understand the whole 'alien technology' thing, but I have to say that that swirly effect on the suits with the colors makes me think too much of the CG technology used in Babylon 5 back in the 90s... or even Seaquest.... Which if that's what they're going for, then I guess they succeeded? Yeah, retro! Still, I'm waiting to see the Zords before making any final judgment. I mean they can't be as bad as the 1995 movie version of the Ninja Megazord...can it?

They look so hideous in that photo. It actually looks as if they're made of dinosaur skin. And it doesn't work.

I can get used to the suit texture but they should have taken cues from tron legacy as well and make the suits less bulky.
This photo I do not mind but Billy sure looks like Don Cheadle from this angle. Jason has sort of a Chris Pine thing going on.
