Kinda/sorta/not really. Those are the only real Kuuga references we get and they're never mentioned again. Agito very much stands on its own (awesomely).

Agito Ep. 2. I'm surprised so much is still unknown, I'm used to a Rider's origins being the main focus of the first few episodes. Still, it gives the show a very mysterious feel. Also, is this in continuity with Kuuga? They keep comparing Agito to a "Number Four" and call the monsters "Unidentified Lifeforms".
Agito is like that as a whole. It's pretty much a mystery show which is quite interesting and one of the reasons the show works so well. It's based solely around the story and characters, all of which are tied into the mystery of what exactly happened with the Akatsuki. The more you watch the more you'll know. It's one of if not the best Rider show I've ever seen, and it's definitely, definitely worth a full watch through.

My guess is that Toei was considering on bringing Kuuga back but the actor probably refused for whatever stick got up his butt. |

Not a hater as such, but I do watch the show a little more critically than your average person in the thread who comes in there just to go 'I have killed nine virgins in your name Gaim, may your quality continue' and leave again.
I don't agree with you often, but I agree with this totally. Why would a finale of a show overshadow their primary Rider with a secondary one? Why did they build up for so long and explain so little? Everything I liked about the series was drowned out in mindless chandelier kicks.

I hate Shunpei with a passion. He is one of the worst Kamen Rider characters since the dude in 555. Even the conductor in Den-O was more important than Shunpei was in Wizard. In fact, Shunpei made a better woman than a man. Hell, he would have been a better female companion than Kiyomi, who is by far the most useless female in the history of Kamen Rider and that is saying a lot.

Hibiki 09.
The action is getting a lot better, or maybe my eyes are adjusting to the quality of these rips, but the monster designs are legitimately awful. Even if this was a showa rider I'd laugh at those pathetic suits. It barely looks like they're even trying to differentiate the suits and costumes any more, so it's basically the same monster over and over with a different CGI abomination to wrap it up. Still the biggest problem for me is Asumu, I know people have gone on about the 'coming of age' story that Hibiki is "truly about" but there is no attempt to weave the a and b plots together as one cohesive unit. So while Hibiki is driving the main plot AND providing all the thrills, we have to cut away just as we're getting invested to Asumu over sleeping or getting hit in the face with a handbag. It's as frustrating as it is plain boring. Even when we cut away to Ibiki who is like the backup of the backup, he brings more than Asumu does.

I watched episodes 6-8 of Rx today in between E3 press conferences and they were pretty awful. The first one had these three demon monsters that are just down right stupid looking. Of course, the entire episode was stupid. Then there was an episode where Kotaro is for some reason a wanted criminal but it is never explained why or how he is cleared of the charges.
