I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there's a lot of dramatic potential in this goofy side character I would really love to see drilled into for even an episode! This is why I'll always stick by episodic shows. Being on this Ark train for the rest of the show inherently makes that harder to find space for, so I'm not exactly getting my hopes up, nor am I really holding that against the series. A little scene like this, even if it's mostly there to make Aruto aware of the plot, is pretty good for what it is.
But yeah, as a big return from two months of hiatus, this was well worth the wait. Well, except maybe the fortune teller. Oof. Fuwa's stuff with his family, and with Ai the Friend Disc, was some good character work for him trying to work through his now-not-so-tragic backstory, and while I thought we were gonna have him become Ark-Zero at the end, I guess that's a later problem. Yua and Jin teaming up as a B-Team was also unexpected, but I kinda digged it? Jin being friends with someone other than Aruto is nice to see, and hey, she helped get back Naki, so guess he owes her one life save. Sure, he keeps calling her "Valkyrie", but him, Horobi and Ikazuchi all named their rider forms after themself, so maybe he just thinks that's her name. Also like Yua in the hospital bed basically admitting to making a bad decision helping bring back the Ark because Yua's been making bad decisions all series. And oh yeah, the Ark itself. It's pretty cool. Nice transformation sequence too, as others have pointed out, makes it a little more distinct from Gordon Drive.

It only just occurred to me I forgot to mention one of my other favorite things about the episode, which was seeing Aruto take some action as the head of a company and come up with an idea for a product. I mean, it's just a robot voiced by MAO, and this one isn't even a Kyuranger, so like, distinctly a freshman effort, but still, it's a level of proactivity I like seeing from him. Hopefully he can be equally actively involved in the development of any future projects for Hiden Manufacturing. Imagine how amazing their 02nd product could end up being!

Can I just say that Jin, outside of Fuwa, has been the most dynamic character on this show? He's served so many roles throughout this show, from lackey, to leader, to wildcard, to double agent/ally and the shift between each has been really well done.

Jin started out as my most hated character but now he might be my second favourite next to Fuwa.

It's a bit of a shame when your main rider is more of a satellite character.

Ryuki, Faiz to a degree (boy, so many kamen riders), initial part of Hibiki, heck technically the riders in Den-O are satellite characters, main character is just a singularity point. |

You all realise this isn't what a satellite character *is*, right? A satellite character is purely defined, and has no character traits outside of, a single other character. Somelike like Shesta is a satellite character, becuase she's purely defined as "Jun's assistant", and has no character outside of that.
Aruto has goals. He has dreams. He doesn't just exist as a prop for other characters, he influences them, he changes them. He drives the series forwards. A satellite character has a meaning, and when you're calling Sento (!!) a satelite character, you've either not seen Build, or just donbn't understand the term. Someone not having a massive, dramatic backstory doesn't make them a satellite, and neither does the show taking a few episodes to develop other characters.

I think Ark definitely qualifies as a satellite character.
And that's how you know it's Aruto!
