Just caught Gunpla Builders for the first time. I have to say that even though this is nothing more than the longest Bandai commercial ever, it was pretty good. Lots of cool offbeat variations to standard mobile suits. I don't care for either of the Beginning Gundam designs much but the other suits featured really won me over. And Boris Schauer, with his damn horse and costume

Started watching G Gundam tonight. Haven't seen it in years. Forgot just how fun this show is. It makes no damn sense if you think to hard and that's what I like about it. My favorite bit is when I realize Domon's sense of direction must be worse than Nick's. He goes from Italy to New York to China to France to Russia, in that order. No matter which way he goes, he has to pass at least one of these countries twice or loop arond the world and pass up two different countries.
Aslo, Maxter's first fight is against Neo Iraq. Subtle and ironic! Yea.. I tend to ignore Domon's travel plan. I blame it on lack of a GPS on the Burning. |

The Car Lander (Let's Driving!) is screwy anyways. It flies in one scene and in the very next scene it can't pass a child on the road.

I was confused how a hovering car became a cockpit anyway. So many better ways they could've done that. Like a mini mech that connects to the big gundam.

You know, the more I look at the Civilian DSSD Astray, the more I see the helmet being a good base for some kind of Sentai inspired custom. I almost wanna buy five of these and do a Gundam Sentai Astrayger….or at least get one and make him into Astray Red. |
