I didn't think it was too slow or anything, I just thought the stuff that happened wasn't very interesting. None of the characters, whether good or bad, were interesting to me. I didn't really even like the monster of the week monsters. The only character that interested me at all was Yugande. Like, it wasn't BAD, I made it through 20 episodes so it must've done something right...I just didn't really care lol. Some day i'll finish it, but not now.
I still really want to watch Gingaman though, I love the designs in that series. If you ever rewatch Megaranger wait until a shiny man shows up to really enjoy the series. |

The style of Gingaman is awesome, to be honest. It has the story-tale like feel, an epic of warriors of the forest who fight against evil. It's extremely well done, it can be called a reimagining of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger(Another sentai that I like, it wasn't the best however) but with a more fairy tale like sense. The background music exemplifies it even more, with the orchestral sound. It's an awesome series, make it your next Sentai you watch, it is worth it.

Anyways, just watched Ninninger 24. Probably my favorite episode of the series so far. I love amusement parks and classic monster movies, plus I really liked how there was a ground battle going on at the same time as the mech battle. There are other things I liked, but those are the big ones. I just thought it was an all around good episode

You really should give Gingaman a watch. It's one of the best ones of the 90s era and has a really compact, intricate, and entertaining story with interesting and well likable characters. The Budoh/BullBlack arc especially is just fantastic.

I actually watched Ginga for the first time earlier in the year after doing a re-watch of Lost Galaxy, and it was pretty fun seeing the similarities and differences almost immediately after finishing one of them.

I think that's part of what made me like Zyuranger so much when I got into the series, or at least why I had trouble getting into another series when I finished. I liked seeing the differences between the two. I either don't remember or never watched the others enough as a kid, so going onto other shows I don't get that. However now that i've seen more shows I'm starting to like seeing the differences between each individual sentai, which makes up for it.
I need to stop mentioning this every time I discuss sentai lol

If you liked Zyuranger your going to like Gingaman. Gingaman does a lot of what Zyuranger did, and expanded on it. It also removes the focus of the random Kid of the Week plots and replaces it with one kid, Yuuta, who they handled fantastically and didn't make him that annoying little kid, but as an ally to the Gingaman. He's one of the best kid characters in Sentai.
Goseiger would be another Sentai to watch if you liked Gingaman, there are a lot of uncanny similarities between the series. |

I would also go so far to put Magiranger in this group, as it also had a strong fanatsy theme (even a bit more than Goseiger). I think the major difference between Zyu/Ginga and Magi/Gosei is that the latter two have a more modern take on things, they both don't feel really fairy-tale....-ish. Magi and Gosei are more on the Harry Potter side of fantasy, with a stronger touch of modern culture than a fantasy world.

I'm a little hesitant to watch Magiranger or anything from that time period, simple because that's around when they were realizing they could make the mech battles entirely CGI and I'm really not a fan of CGI mech battles in Sentai. Part of why I actually like Ninninger is how they went back to using a lot of suits.

So I group them in their own group, similar to the Vehicle Sentai(Turboranger, Carranger, Go-Onger) Martial Arts(Maskman, Dairanger, Gekiranger) and Ninja(Kakuranger, Hurricanger, Ninninger) |
