I’m pretty sure it’ll be better. “Better” to the point that it warrants the price or worth buying before the show airs or you see how the thing combines I don’t know, but as per its page on the GSC website.
Release Date:04/2021 Price:¥20,000 (Before Tax) Specifications:Painted ABS non-scale action figure with stand included. Approximately 250mm in height to top of head (when standing upright). Sculptor:ASTRAYS Cooperation:Sentinel I really hope they do at least something for those that bought Gridman, at least to make ammends. Last edited by KaiserBlue; 12-08-2020 at 03:02 AM.. |

It’s not double the price though? DX Full Powered Gridman retailed for 15,278 yen and this retails for 20,000 yen.
I’m not gonna pretend that Full Powered Gridman is a good toy, I bought that thing for full price and was definitely let down by it. But let’s not exaggerate the difference. Also stuff like stands not being in the box? I’d rather that happen to a GSC product than anything else - at least they’ll replace the piece free of charge. Good luck getting that kind of customer service with Premium Bandai.

Good luck getting that kind of customer service with Premium Bandai. My point still stands that it was a trash release GSC did nothing to fix. You in no way can fault P-Bandai, those products are for domestic sale only, and you are voiding the warranty by importing. Premium Bandai can only help domestic customers and, on the contrary, give quite good customer service domestically. They have on many occasions issued replacements. For example, the sentai artisan Aura changer set was missing one sound from its cycle, they issued replacments that included that one missing sound. In the west, Bandai of America, issued replacment parts to fix the lean issue in the legacy thunder megazord. The thunder megazord cost about $50 more converted than gridman, and the aura changers a bit less. Aside from the stands, the way GSC handled the situation was terrible, no customer support, for what was ultimately a moderately overpriced qc ridden faulty mess. GSC did do a replacement parts scheme to fix some (admittedly not all) of the issues...

I'm surprised they're still running it though, says people are still eligible for another year. They do make the combination stay together better, but it doesn't completely fix it because the plastic is so cheap. I'm hoping that's fixed on Dynazenon because the page says its just made of ABS plastic rather than ABS and PVC.

Absolutely, in fact I’m genuinely surprised you had such a bad experience with GSC customer service. Of all the Japanese companies I’ve had to deal with whilst collecting they’ve by far been the best. I’ve gotten numerous replacement parts from them in the past, both whether they’ve come like that in package or broken after opening them. That’s incredibly shitty that they never even gave you a response.

Ahh, maybe that’s it then. I have no experience with their US branch, I always just go straight to the Japanese customer service. They’re really good with international customers.
