Just saw episode 45 of Appmon and it was a cute episode. Can't really find anything to hate about it and hearing the digivolution theme from Adventures in Appmon is very pleasing. Plus Globemon fighting along side War Greymon was cool. Stll waiting for the god Appmons.

Absolutely.
If you need me to elaborate on why it's another good entry in the franchise, here you go. Appmon, to summarize, is a show personally consider to be one of the best Digimon shows in recent years, despite all the hate (though, the hate is mainly just nitpicks on how "different" the show is). Basically, it's a modern take on the Adventure formula, reigniting the whole "what if my ___ came to life" idea, as well as keeping the focus on new technology. The Appmon are still technically Digimon- they're just tied to apps and specialize in certain functions, rather than just being any old monster. The reason it's "different" is because the director and writer wanted to make a digimon show for the modern generation, a series that truly captures the spirit of Digimon Adventure. And that meant breaking away from what previous shows kept doing and pushing towards new frontiers. The characters are one of the better parts of the show. If you're annoyed by their catchphrases, don't fear- after the 12th episode, the show begins to dial down on their usage and they are said less frequently in the late 20's onward. It does drag a bit at the start, but keep pushing through (skip 26 if you're watching from the beginning; it's a clip show) and you'll find a great, if not enjoyable, series. An interview with the director and writer of Appmon, and one of the creators of Digimon can be found here. Last edited by MangaArtist18; 08-14-2017 at 09:28 PM.. |

I figured I'd see the Konami code in Ex-Aid this year, but here it is in Digimon.

What do you mean? Like a "pure" app with "holy" powers?
Not to my knowledge. But, there are Appmon centered around file deletion, rebooting, and restarting. That's as close as I think we're gonna get with "angel apps". And then there are the God Grade Appmon, which we've yet to see in the series, but are the strongest Appmon in existence (going by Grade). Though, if you meant an "angel-styled Appmon", the only one I can think of is Aidmon, a Standard Grade Appmon whose App is a "Rescue App". |
