That sparkly background also could point towards gems, or maybe shiny metal (which could go with the "mashin = machine" theory).
Or of course it could just be sparkly for the sake of shiny new toys. |

So I just took another look at the silhouettes of Kirameiger, there's a gap between the 3 on the right and the 2 on the left, the 3 on the right might be a team by themselves before the 2 on the left show up and they are together as well, also I noticed that the Ranger in the middle looks further back then the ones of their right and left, those 2 are the ones in the front, and those are the 2 that look like they are girls.

I've always been the kind of retro-futurist type of person. I am aware of the problems from the past. I would never look at it with rose colored glasses. I welcome new technology, but there are things from the past that are (to me at least) are much more aesthetically pleasing than the plain boring looks of the cliched "chromed future." That's why I like stuff like steampunk.
