Body swap episodes are a dime a dozen, but this one really was a pleasant surprise. Swapping them with their mecha was a different take by itself, but turning that into a lesson of using encouragement to bring the best out of people? A brilliant take on it.
It also occurred to me that, like the small and big monsters, Juruu and Fire have similar, but not identical traits to each other. Juruu is good at reading his teammates needs and personalities and using that bring out the best in them. Fire is good at encouraging his teammate and bringing out the best in them. Similar in theme, but not identical. |

This was the best body swap episode since Shinkenger's. So many good laughs and bonus points for alternate version of the role call.

Would've been nice to give a little more focus on the body-swapping with the others on top of the Juuru and Fire focus, but time constraints and the desire to really push the encouragement message probably meant that not every thing can be explored.
Was Helico-as-Pink emulating ToQ #5 with the "strong girl" reference? Felt like a ToQger reference. Also, was the location filming for the main ground battle the same location where the Zyuohger fought the Gokaiger (minus the Reds)? |
