Thanks to our friends at Samurai Cast Blog, as well as Twitter user thegeekpdt, we have some new information on the upcoming Power Rangers Megaforce, which is the 20th Anniversary of all things Power Rangers.

There are a ton of pictures to look at, so please click here to check out the pictures that thegeekpdt uploaded.

The most interesting piece of information comes from a conversation with a Saban Brands representative - that past Power Rangers would return to Power Rangers Megaforce! Not to play Devil's Advocate here, but does that mean past actors (such as Jason David Frank or Johnny Yong Bosch) or just the past physical costumed Power Rangers, which is the main ability of the theme of the second half of Megaforce which is based off Gokaiger (who transform in to past Power Rangers)?

Only time will tell! Stay tuned!

So.. we're a target audiance for the show itself, but not the toys? My shelf says different. But what do I know.

Good to know the brand is doing good, or at least I think that's what all this means, lol. I wonder if the inevitable Megaforce happy meal toys will be any good...for being happy meal toys that is.

I guess it's like Transformers, where kids still outnumber the adult fans...or at least in the eye of the company that is...

These latest developments have truly got me hyped for this upcoming season/celebration! I'm anticipating a significant improvement in the show quality, and feel as if the creative forces have stepped up their game and learned from the mistakes that were/are present in Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai.

With all that said, Megaforce 2 aka Super (Ultra?) Megaforce will more than likely be the TRUE celebration for the series. Don't get me wrong, based on the few details I've gathered from various sources and of course what we've heard from Fury Diamond (RangerCrew), season 1 should offer some descent surprises that will inevitably build up to Megaforce2.

Overall, I'd still caution that fans keep their expectations low. One of the key reasons why fans felt/feel letdown with PRS/PRSS is due to them having high expectations because...well, the property was back in the hands of its rightful owner.

Is the second season going to be the American adaption of the pirate Rangers? or is that still later on? (I'm just getting back into Power Rangers, and still learning quite a bit about these new generations, lol...)

My expectations are most definitely low. Granted I do love me some Power Rangers, it was one of many shows I was absolutely obsessed with as a kid, but even I have to admit that it's quite...goofy. From what little I've seen of the PR generations that have come since the last time I was into the franchise, that hasn't really changed. If anything, there's a bit of nostalgia to Power Ranger's....goofiness...

Season 2 of Megaforce will feature concepts from Gokaiger, but the extent of said concepts is still unknown. Some have assumed we'll see the "Gokai Change" concept translated over, albeit it'll be the Goseiger (Megaforce) suits that will MORPH into past Rangers.

Ok, thanks. I'll have to give that a thorough reading. Seeing past Rangers in-action again, even if it's just the new Rangers in their suits, sounds good to me. Especially if it gets Bandai to release new figures of said old Rangers (though their Zords would be even better...). From what little I know of Gokaiger, I'd enjoy seeing it's Megazord brought over, at least in toy-form anyways...

Edit: Now that I've given that link a thorough read-through, I'm glad to know that Gokaioh (what I like to call the "pirate Megazord") will be a part of this series. Though I wonder how they're going to handle the one zord being green, rather than black...
