Hey guys! Seeing as I did redesigns for Shizen Sentai Mushinger, I decided to update their parent (both figuratively and literally) series' designs as well. This will serve as the new "Yume Sentai Mythonger" design thread. And what better way to start off than having the future father of Lilith Yamata/KabutoRed, Ken Yamata, aka MythoRed! Here's a sketch of his updated standard (yes I know he looks a bit like the Super Shinkengers, but you'll see why when I post his original design up too) ranger form!

Seen here is redesign of the leader of the Mythonger and the father of the Mushinger’s very own KabutoRed, Ken Yamata, aka MythoRed! Seen behind him is his Mythos Partner, Dragon!

Name: Ken Yamata
Race: Japanese
Age: 19 (at start of series), 20 (middle of series), 38 (at the end of Mythonger/start of Mushinger)

Bio:
Leader of the Mythonger, Ken found the MythoTome buckles during one of his travels abroad. Ken is the one who connects his teammates together- he’s Hikaru (MythoBlue’s) best friend, Yamiko (MythoViolet’s) crush, Joji (MythoGray’s) mentor/sempai, and Tomomi (MythoPink’s) older brother. The one who is most passionate about helping those in need, Ken accepted his task given to him by Dragon. Dragon and him are in near sync when it comes to fighting, granting Ken access to his powers at all times, even in human form. His catchphrase is “I’m a Dreamer!” Mythos partner- Dragon, Element: Fire, Weapon: DragonSaber

Looks good! It'll be interesting to see the others, since their motif animals are much less common in Super Sentai.

So is it gonna be like Dairanger where the very end of the series is set in the future?

I like him alot. The design's clean, and I'm loving the jacket and sword. One suggestion though would be it needs a color to break up the helmet. That's alot of red on red.

Yup! Just like MythoRed, each Senshi pic will have them and their Mythos Partner .

Well, just the last episode (if this was a TV show), so that way they could make way for the next series

Actually no, they're all based off of different Mythological creatures.



Seen here is redesign of the 2nd in command of the Mythonger and the father of the Mushinger’s very own GataBlue, Hikaru Tenjou, aka MythoBlue! Seen behind him is his Mythos Partner, Basilisk!

Race: Japanese
Age: 18 (at start of series), 19 (middle of series), 37 (at the end/start of Mushinger)

Bio:
Hikaru has been Ken’s best friend since they were younger. Due to an accident inadvertently caused by Ken, Hikaru’s body became too weak to play soccer like he loved so much. When Ken returned to Japan, Hikaru was the first person Ken handed a MythoTome. Hikaru then met his Mythos Partner, Basilisk, who granted him his flexibility and ability to manipulate water. When transformed into MythoBlue, these abilities affect Hikaru’s body, allowing him to be active again. Basilisk is at ends with Dragon though, often disagreeing and desiring to attack the opponent on his own. Hikaru, while not doing work with the others, is an assistant teacher at his old high school. Mythos partner- Basilisk, Element: Water, Weapon: Basilisk Staff
