Beetle Blast!
It's a toku throwback with a gallery of the Special Edition Blue Stinger Beetleborg from Bandai's Big Bad Beetleborgs toy line! This super-sized figure is an import of the Dx Blue Beet figure from the Juukou B-Fighter toy line. Few images of the Japanese figure exist, but there seems to be little difference between the B-Fighter and Beetleborg releases. Blue Stinger stands at 12 inches tall and has 21 points of articulation. The figure possesses switch operated lights and sounds that run on 2 AA batteries. An array of accessories are included with Blue Stinger including a Beetle Bonder, Sonic Laser, Beetle Battler, the Stinger Blade attachment, and the Stinger Drill attachment. Check out the 25 image gallery after the jump and see the Blue Stinger/Blue Beet suit in action again during Super Hero Taisen Z! Want TokuNation.com updates on the go? Cool.
On a side note, I wish Saban had called the Loogies "Beetleborgs." |

That looks like a pretty cool figure. I just wish the show had been better.
I mean a blue clown with a Leno chin, a house full of monsters...really Saban? |

BBBB had awesome suits and really good toys. Had the Bbue, green and red ones and loved them as a kid.

My favourite toku suit of all time. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous.
I REALLY hope we get Figuarts of these one day.

I actually had this as a kid. I actually think I still have it in a box somewhere either in our basement or garage.

Man I love this suit. Still got to put some time aside to watch B-Fighter. I have the small Super Blue Beet and it doesnt seem substantially different in design for me to get the DX as well.

Looking back on the Beetleborgs it really hammers the point that these suit designs were dealt a great injustice with how BBB was.
I especially remember the comic "art" being as bland and lame as those lameo fake superheroes like that one guy who entered a guy's bloodstream to battle a virus, then leaving midway and telling the poor SOB that the virus is his problem. The toy however looks stunning! I am in awe in how well it holds up today. That blue really pops at you. |
