MonsterArts cost more to make then the Figuarts and Ultra Act figures which is why they are so much money. I agree $50 would be good, but $75 is too much.

Damn. I was excited for this, I was actually gonna think about buying it, then I saw no accessories. That sucks. I cant justify spending $75 on him though.

The listed price is with Japanese sales tax, which we do not pay from most Japanese stores, and Bluefin's retail prices are based on the value without tax included. That means Godzilla 2014 is 6800 yen before discounts like Godzilla 2000 and the upcoming adult Junior and should retail for around $67, pending actual Bluefin confirmation. It's not an enormous difference, just worth noting.
I'm not happy about the lack of a breath effect either. This was the perfect time to release a new blue breath effect, even if it was sculpted specifically for the 2014 version and not the Toho Godzillas. Even if it made it cost more! There's also no room this year for any kind of 2014-specifc effects set this year (whatever comes out in December is almost certainly not that), so at best if one happens or is packed in with a Muto or whatever, it would mean waiting until 2015. It's not all-bad, because at least this guy looks great and is supposedly quite large compared to other Godzilla MonsterArts. A very likely purchase, I have so many SHMA as it is, but maybe not a preorder day one.

I was hoping for a July release for the SHMA figure. The movie should be out on DVD and Blu-Ray by September.

Looks great but I don't care enough about him to import in a figure with no accessories, I may as well get the Neca version and skip out the middleman and shipping fees. "But neca", save it, I have like every Neca Evil Dead release and they are all fantastic, so whatever problems you've had with the company I have not experienced.

I loved the movie so damn much I've got to have this guy. My little to non-existent Godzilla knowledge has kept me from buying any of the past releases. But this guy, accessories or not, is a must have.

I'm from the UK so BF releases don't make much difference to me.

In fact, in some cases it ends up costing more.
