The clock continues to tick on the time left for the Talkin Toku Podcast. Please join Chris/Kickback, Jordan/Den-O, Tom/Sentai Tamashii, and special guest host Eric/Trekkieb47 for an episode that works more or less as a prelude to the final episode of Talkin Toku. This brand new episode features commentary on the epic Triplet Meltdown from the actors that portrayed the character Trey of Triforia. We discuss how everything tokusatsu sucks right now (is anyone seriously watching and/or enjoying Ninninger?), comments regarding the actors chosen for the upcoming Power Rangers 2017 Movie, and take a look back at some of our favorite memories of our podcast over the last 2 years. And throughout the entire episode, zero fucks are given. Stay tuned for the very end of the podcast for a preview of what's in store for the final episode of Talkin Toku! Would you like to be part of the final episode of Talkin Toku? Submit a .WAV or .MP3 recording of a message YOU want to send the hosts of the podcast and we'll include it in our final episode! Another fun episode. It'll be sad to see the podcast go, it's been fun. I'll be sure to try and send in a message for the last show.

A. I think it's because recording/editing takes a long time, and its becoming less worth it to put out the podcast. I could be wrong, but that's what I thought they said.
B. From what I can gather, it seems that the actors for the original Zeo Gold Ranger (the DiFillippo triplets) made a Facebook post bashing some current Power Rangers actors for disrespecting their legacy as the original Gold Ranger (a pretty arrogant and largely unfounded accusation). Drama ensued, and they deleted everything about it (i.e. "ragequit"). Someone with more info is welcome to shed some light on this. |

A. Actually it's because their schedules are getting more and more loaded. So they don't really have the time to make more. Well, they have the time to make them as good as they have been.
B. No earthly clue.

I don't follow Ninninger or any of the current ones heavily (Not at all), but all of this makes it seem like the fandom is dry-heaving at present. Are any of the future offerings worth involving oneself in? |

It's mostly just Sentai at this point; a lot of people aren't feeling Ninninger. Dino Charge has been pretty popular, Ultraman X is fantastic, and it's honestly too early to call on Ghost.

I think at this point it's safe to say Ghost is horrendous. It's relying heavily on toy driven story rather than character driven plot. I don't accept the comparison that "Drive did the same thing" last year either though. It was a legitimately fun show from the start. Ghost feels like a chore. Dino Charge has likewise finally worn off from the "it's not Super Megaforce!" feels and has become rather generally boring and predictable. Ultraman X doesn't hold any interest for me personally right now. I try to watch Ultra stuff in full series batches. Just too difficult to work through one week to week as it comes out.
