Who will Kido and Ren meet next? Will Ren let his guard down long enough to become a softy? Will Kanzaki Shiro actually show up? Who will Kitoaka be a dick to next? Episodes 21-25 of the Rider War, discuss!

We're officially at the midway point of the series now. In these 5 episodes we get a huge chunk of plot!
- Kamen Rider Raia falls at the hands of Ouja - Tezeuka passes the first Survive card to Ren and he becomes Knight Survive for the first time! - And Ouja succeeds in taking a third contract Monster, Evil Diver. And now, the birth of Genocider. Discuss these revelations!

As I've said before, I love Shiro's rationale for who he passes the Survive cards out to. "Hey, you're not fighting! Clearly you need a power-up as incentive!" Never dawns on him that someone might not want to kill the other Riders.

The only thing that vexed me about these 5 episodes was the Survive card. I didn't like how no explanationw as given or how nobody even reacted to the huge power boost it gave Ren. It's just like they're all thinking "Oh, that's cool" and move on.

I was always bugged by that as well. And when Shinji gets it as well there's no fanfare there either. He just pulls it out against Knight and he's just acts like its nothing. The power ups on that show didn't really seem to power up characters so much as just change their tactics. I still love the series but you can definitely tell where some plot threads got lost towards the end of the series.
