- I have never particularly liked the design of Jet Icarus.

- I will absolutely buy the minipla version anyway.

Victory Robo is so odd. I never much liked the design until I actually started watching GoGo V, and then it was pretty much the robot's combination sequence that won me over.

I looked over a video of the DX Jet Icarus today: same deal. I'd never been super-excited about completed robot, but the DX is surprisingly solid from the back, something I'm not used to with Sentai robots anymore. All the jet mecha have some impressively elegant engineering going on, both to make the robot form look complete from all angles and to make a similarly coherent Icarus Haken. I've seen some tank-mode combinations in Sentai robo that come off like an afterthought, but Icarus Haken looks very much deliberate and thought-out.

If they continue the pattern, it should be roughly 3 releases or so away. Since they've been doing alternating past to post-zyu per release. With the Zyu ones forward in order. That'd put it sometime into next year's releases potentially. With Dairanger being the skipped because of engineering for now.

I mean, if you ignore Ohranger and Caranger and come up with a fake reason for Dairanger not being done, it fits your "pattern", sure.

But yeah, this looks cool. I have no love for Jetman, but I know a lot of people do, so it's nice to see Toei throw bone their way. Me, I'm just reminded how much I want that Galaxy Mega.
