I don't know what kind of experience do you have with K-drama, or other Asian TV dramas. But when you watch them, did you never raise any question or talk about something like:

"How is it that K-dramas and Taiwanese dramas can be able to gain so much popularity, while tokusatsu lag behind?"

"Several K-dramas look a lot like toku, then why isn't this being talked about more and more in toku circle? If it looks and feel like toku, then why isn't it discussed?"

That's why I find that disturbing that this isn't even talked or these questions aren't being raised within in toku fandom.
