When I was younger I drew a lot, but stopped when I felt I just couldn't do well enough. Too worried about negative opinions. Now I'm trying to draw more again, but I think in the end, some people really do have more talent. (like you)
Anyway, hope to hear more insight from you. Thanks for all you have said so far.
You're welcome and don't hesitate to try something different ,unique or just plain weird. I actually got better at drawing faster by doodling between lessons when I was in middle school. And better at detailing when the teacher caught me and made me draw the golden gate bridge in a large board via pointilism as homework (damn that was hell)
The shadows usually go where there is less light ( like the inner thighs, armpits etc while the highlights go to places that are exposed to a light source(like the shoulders) or if all fails, just put them randomly...that's how I usually do it
Thing is I can never really understand where shadows and highlights go. I try to pose characters here and there and shine light on them but it's still really hard to grasp.
