Funny controversy, that. The gameplay video has been quite good. Even if the art is very Megaman, the gameplay is definitely something different. It looks quite challenging, actually.

It focuses on you wearing enemies down and dashing into them to destroy them. The faster you dash into them after they're "destabilized" (I think) the higher your score is. So it's a decent challenge to finish the levels, but it's a near impossible challenge to actually get a good score. Good for both casuals and hardcore players I guess.

Oh yes, of course. Not to disparage the new games at all. It's a different direction, and even SEGA realised that with Generations, when they catered to both tastes.
