What are good up and coming genres?

Good morning!

Hmm, that's true, but that's true for most oversaturated genres, anyway. Like superhero movies, FPS games, etc. It does mean we have to sift the wheat from the chaff. Ah, the weirdness of trends and capitalism.

I'm all for reducing if they bring out more gems, though.

It is very good. The main conflicts so far arise because the concept of law and duty to the ruler and to the state has given nothing but grief and sorrow to everyone, especially the lower, peasant classes. And what I mean by it being not so in your face is that this isn't really a blatantly evil government like the Capitol or the Galactic Empire, but realistically what ancient feudalism probably was like in some parts. So it makes you question whether loyalty to the state should really be an absolute virtue. Sorry for rambling, I really like what I see so far.

I guess moe entertains me like how it appeals to a lot of anime fans, we just want a break from the monotony of day, when we can imagine a fictional world where dreams come true. But my experience is only with K-On, which really brought me through some very difficult times.

Yeah. It's not very blatant or in your face either, but developed slowly over time. Definitely using its 50-episode arc to develop its ideas and characters fully. I'm very impressed.

Well, I'm going to start studying, hopefully will finish in time to watch that show you recommended this morning.

I guess people still want to protect their stuff. I do too, but at the same time I just feel, if I want the world to stop it with this "all rights reserved" copyright nonsense, I should also practice what I preach. So I'll utilise CC licensing where the only thing I wish for is attribution and that other people are permissive too.

Creative Commons licenses are a way to use copyright to offer free content. The most restrictive of them at least allow people to play/watch/read your content without any prior approval. The limits you set are, at the top of my head:

1) Whether people can modify your work
2) Whether people can use your work commercially
3) Whether people are restricted to using the same licenses for derivations they make of your work.

For all CC licenses, attribution must be made to the original creator. So like for my deviantART stuff and other creations, I've been using CC BY-SA, in which I agree that people can use and modify my stuff to their hearts content, as long as they let others do the same with the products they come up with, and they attribute me as the original creator.

It's not exactly as free as public domain but it's something I think I can get behind for now.
