Are you listening through the albums? 16cds isn't much actually because they also have their solo albums, their side group albums, their trio sub group albums, duo albums, best hit single albums, and of course the soundtracks.

The Main appeal would have the be the animation and art, it's is really rich and refreshing if watching in HD I would love to experience it in BLu-ray but sadly.... No funds due to other stuff .... Besides that. It's really the development of the characters and how they come together as a team and one big happy family. From random girls to saving their school to being a team in competing to being one huge family that knows and love each other at the end of the day.

The songs are great the main song from season 1 START DASH!! Is really catchy and heart warming and stick with you as their main song, but I really love their songs that are more featured in their music videos and albums instead of the anime it self.

Season 1 focus on the girls becoming the Idol that you see every where with character development here and there, also saving their school.

Season 2 focus more on the competition itself and more character development for characters that didn't get much focus in season 1.

In Love Live there is this Girl Honoka that loves her school, but due to decreasing numbers of students not going attend next year the school will be shut down, she tries to find a way to have to school more popularity so students can join for next year. She does this by being a School Idol since in Love Live, School Idol girls are what makes the school popular and fun. 2 of her best friend support her and form a trio idol group at first and over the course of season 1 little by little all the main characters slowly come to together to become School Idols. Aside from that while also trying to save the school they're also competing in the Love Live! Competition where every single School Idol group compete to be number 1.
