Hmm... I guess your right about the inspiration, but there is really not much magical girl stuff going on besides the transformation sequence.

No way not at all , It's often mistaken for being a magical girl anime due to her sailor outfit, it's really just that it's just her uniform/outfit she wears in the show.

Been having to much magical girl stuff going on, So I'm branching out to other animes.
