It's just that when I was working on your sig, I kept seeing tons of really awesome Marine pics, and she does give off that "I'm awesome, I kick butt, and I know it" vibe all the time. Plus I saw small clips of her in AMV I watch, and she always looked like "I'm not going down with out a fight!"

Let's be honest, Sentai has done worse, and the whole point of that was to stablish that Mio was independent and didn't have to be defined by her relationships or gender.
It could have been handled better, but I never felt it was enforcing said stereotypes.
