I should. I've run out of ideas for the Coeurgardes story. But I did develop a lot tonight. I think I need to take a break from writing the thing for a few days to do some planning, since I am kind of in a brainstorming mood.

Yes, he's very complex, and the movie weaves through that remarkably well. I heard about the second one, should be soon.

It is very bloody, no doubt about that. Definitely R-rated bloodiness. But it's not gory in the sense that you explicitly see necks getting sliced, guts spilling out, eyes getting stabbed, arms getting chopped off, if you get my meaning. When horrific slashes are made, the camera quickly pans away, or it's hidden in shadow, that sort of thing. Lots of blood and very violent, but not gratuitously so. I think it's effective in spelling the horror of the violence without becoming gratuitous.

Actually, I don't remember what I wanted to say. To be honest the joke wasn't fully formed anyway.

His work with Kenshin was so remarkably subtle but yet so impressive. The way he stands, his subtle change in facial expressions, his mannerisms, how he enunciates his words, how he speaks, even how he eats. You can read annoyance, joy, sadness, and affection in his face. He can be a bloodthirsty madman one moment, and the most clueless guy the next, just like how Kenshin is. Seriously, I haven't been this impressed by an actor in a while, never would have expected it here. Forgive my gushing.

The movie's pretty violent though, but at least it's not gory.

Yeah, no surprises, and he also can't do anything on his own with ToQOh. I suppose they can swap arms and weapons but that's the limit. It's kind of like how GokaiOh and GoZyuJin have limited interactivity without throwing Machalcon into the mix.

Oh, by the way, Rurouni Kenshin, LOVED IT! Den-O is perfect as Kenshin, he nails the mannerisms so perfectly that I have to commend his acting. Most of the rest do great jobs with their roles too, and the movie prudently adapts the first few story arcs of the anime without feeling disjointed. The swordfights were gorgeous (which I felt was something ironically lacking in the anime) and the themes of pacifism and redemption are expounded on delicately yet thoroughly. Fantastic movie!

Build Dai Oh is...intriguing. I will say when I first opened him I was a bit disappointed. He's everything I imagined him to be, but that's just it, my expectations were so high that I was expecting more and I was a bit let down having paid so much for him.

Now that I've had him a bit longer I do love him a lot. Solidly built, and the waist connector that I was worried about turned out to be super solid. My only big gripe is that he has no combining feature with ToQOh without DieselOh, and I dislike how Bandai are insisting more and more on auxiliaries being so necessary. If it was like Shinkenger, where the core six could combine on their own, it would be better.

So overall, I guess I did pay a bit too much for Build, but I like him and I would never have satiated my curiosity without actually owning him. Therefore, in a long, roundabout way, I do like him.

I want to make a drug joke, but I think that would be insensitive.

Night's not bad. Got Build Dai Oh. Watched Rurouni Kenshin. Now devising the overall plot of the story.

Well the first turtles story was kinda dark...they must have just jumbled a few crazy ideas together.
