Thanks...I guess. I did get bullied a bit in early middle school/late elementary (different from the US school system), but even then it was entirely verbal and honestly quite pathetic. My high school years were mostly bliss.

The Origin was a good read, sadly I never finished and since the anime was announced I guess there's no point in getting back to it.

It gets more obvious in the second season, but Nanoha is very mecha influenced, she even shares her nickname with Amuro Ray.

Well Nanoha takes less time (2 seasons of 12 episodes... and Strikers but I never finished that season) and the action and storytelling is more inspied by mecha anime, lots of beam weaponry and it drops the monster of the week aspect early on.
Plus it's actually aimed at males.

Precure plays like a Sentai or Rider show, 49 episodes, monsters of the week, and many "filler" episodes (but they are pretty awesome), likewise the action focuses in martial arts.
Precure is aimed at girl, so it can get very "pink and fluffy" but it also has very dramatic moments.

I think Nanoha is a better starting point since it takes less time and doesn't have a rigid structure like Precure does, but both are great imo.

So general consensus says it's good?
