Honestly you can't go wrong with either. The earlier Jon Pertwee stories are some of my favourites, even with most of them being earthbound. I loved UNIT and Jo is my favourite companion, plus you get a whole season of the original (and best) Master. However if you carry on with Tom Baker you open yourself up to Who when it was at its peak, its brilliant story after brilliant story and Sarah has an even better dynamic with the fourth Doctor than she does with the third.

Yeah, I saw it earlier this morning I'm absolutely in love with the design, I think its the best its looked since the relaunch. While I enjoyed the spaciousness of the previous console rooms, I never really liked the run-down feel of the Eccleston/Tennant one or the makeshift console of Smith's first one. This one has a much cleaner look to it, and I like that its not using orange/yellow as a base colour any more.

Of course the retro look appeals to the classic fanboy in me too

From what we've seen I agree it seems they're trying to make a new Doctor out of him, which I'm fine with as long as they make sure to keep all the core elements that make 11 so good. A new sonic screwdriver wouldn't be a bad thing either, although I'm hoping they'll start to downplay it a little bit more...its becoming the answer to everything, which is why they wrote it out of the classic series in the first place
