Same here, not only does it mean a lot but it's refreshing to talk to someone with a similar experience of no one really trying to understand them.

I never really shared the more 'out there' media I love with my highschool friends but even telling my family about them they would always comment on how I can like something so disturbing. Even if I point out things like SAW was mainstream(and then have to explain what saw was XP ) They still find it slightly off putting that I love dark, twisted things.
