Peter Pan!

(Well, I've been writing my review for the movie for the past two hours, so maybe that will change your mind.)

Yes, that's what I thought. As a swansong to Fresh, that might be why Fresh gets so much prominence. And I agree the writers probably had nothing to work with with the Heartcatch powers since it was still in the single digit episodes by then.

But I do wish in the very least they got into some melee combat, maybe rescued somebody. It actually looked like they would have rescued a duo, at one point, but the fairies did it instead.

And perhaps the tagging along feel comes from Tsubomi and Erika simply just reacting to everything around them. While Tsubomi's personality is more emphasized than Erika's both of them just look totally lost there. They offer few opinions, engage in nothing much on their own, and basically rely on the other Precure for instruction and direction in everything.

But if it seems I hate the movie, I really don't. The rest was really fun and like I said, a good introduction to the other Precure. Sorry if I'm complaining too much.

But perhaps the weakest part, I guess is how the writers seemed to be unsure of how to handle Erika. Her snarky personality shows only about twice in the entire movie, and it was really subtle. The rest of it is just tagging after Tsubomi like an affirming sidekick, and it's a bit of a shame.

Still, a pretty decent watch, and a much better movie than the usual Kamen Rider crossover, for instance (in my opinion). It's definitely not on the level of the TV show, though.

Plus, now I feel that Black is friggin cool, so after Smile, Futari Wa might be next...

Haha okay. I know gun loved it. However...

DX 2 was a fun watch, the action was frenetic and for the most part and it was lovely seeing all those past Precure. It's a decent introduction to all of them.

However, I feel that the Heartcatch Duo felt completely tossed aside. They spend almost the entire movie being fish out of water types and its only around the 40 min mark that they do any fighting of any sort and even then it was on the defensive. They went on the offensive twice later on, but one was a failed Fortissimo and the other was in conjunction with the other Precure.

This wouldn't feel so annoying if the other Precure weren't so awesome! Every single team rescues the Heartcatch ones at least once. Heck, Fresh plays such an active role in the movie that you'd think this was their movie instead. Now this really reminded me of Kumojacky saying that Heartcatch is the weakest Precure in history, and that's not nice.
