Seriously though, I learned in Marketing that a lot of this is more focused on convincing consumers that you're a good company than actually practicing it yourself. It is the definition of speaking louder than actions.

That's why I'm never convinced about the anti-piracy attempts of giant corps. If they were really serious they'd offer true value to the best of their ability, like Valve, or GoG. Even Microsoft admitted they used the illegal market as a stepping stone to getting new consumers and implied they would not be as successful without it.

Oh and when providing service, create an artificial need for it with region-locking!

Region locking makes sense from a short-sighted, profit-oriented view that looks solely at money. When you region lock, you are allowed to strike exclusivity deals and earn more cash than you would otherwise. So in a free market, Australian players who might just import, say Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns for $60 at retail from USA are forced to pay heavier local prices of $90-100.

Works for TV shows and movies too. Transformers fans here who might want to get Shout Factory's complete Transformers Animated collection for $30 are forced to spend $30+ per season here, amounting to over $90. Foxtel here gets exclusive rights to TV shows, forcing people to subscribe to insane packages if they want it "legally" because region locking prevents people from using American services like Netflix.

Region locking is a genius idea for the greedy executive, but it severely screws over the consumer.

Me? Still trying to finish my work, working on not procrastinating. Seems to be an improvement, but still a way to go. Bought Transformers Windblade #1 yesterday, art is gorgeous but just started reading. Still crying over the lack of MMX4 when I realized that even importing outdated, outrageously priced PS1/PS2 discs I can't play it due to region locking. Am really considering heading to "alternative vendors".

Hmm, Heartcatch 36 with the school festival. It's VERY strongly reminiscent of K-On for me. How everything worked out and how it ended with an awesome song that brought everyone together in the most heartwarming way. I love school festival specials in high school shows.

He was the main villain. He basically is the darkness in everyone's hearts...so I guess you could call him the king of Shadows. According to TVTropes, His methodology and tactics are very similar to the "Malevolent Entity" from Arena, and they share the same voice actor.
