Well that's good for you then. Here (and in USA, as I remembered it), salads are quite expensive. I think the rationale is that salads are perishable, so it's hard to store for a long time, while meats are preserved and frozen for a long, long time.

The rerelease I think fixed some balancing issues, improved the music, and added FMV cutscenes.
