Yeah, Kanon just has the benefit of being twice the length of Air so it gets to explore it's concepts a lot more and fully flesh them out. I'll be honest though, when it came time for both Air and Kanon to hit me over the head with the metaphorical baseball bat Air hit me hard where as Kanon felt like it was going to hit me pretty hard but then chickened out halfway through and ended up just tapping me lightly on the head... That's just my experience though.
