The 50th is the best Doctor Who story hands down.

Their pretty cool. More expensive than marvel legends but there are fewer reused parts and they are meant more for collectors

Also poor acting was a reason but I watch power rangers so I'm used to average acting

She is, but she's only in one story before this with the 10th Doctor. Not completely necessary, and her life deals mostly with the 11th Doctor so you'd get more or less the complete picture with it. If you find yourself confused later on you can always watch that one story, but my opinion is that it's not really necessary, like how you don't need to watch previous Classic Doctors to understand the modern Doctors.
