Sentai movies have problems because they basically take the show and expand it. That format just doesn't work for the big screen. That's why some Star Trek movies are so poor, especially The Next Generation ones (don't skewer me ) because they're sequels to their TV shows, and it shows.

I was thinking of completely reinventing Power Rangers for the big screen. Do what Abrams did with the 2009 Star Trek, ignore the fans and remake it in a polished, big-budget way. Heck, I don't like much of Michael Bay's direction, but I can't deny Transformers was successfully translated to blockbuster material.
