The SOC line is really something amazing. Haven't gotten a single one, but they're the best of the best for transforming mecha.

I plan to do that too! I was quite close to getting the DX actually, but why not just wait for this gem. SOCs seldom go wrong too!

Thanks, I might do that. It's not really the tedium that I'm worried about just the abrupt change of tone that the OVA seems to have. From a cheery over-the-top kids show to something trying to be more mature than it is. Of course I don't know that first-hand, just an impression I got from reviews.

The first episode was pretty exciting, by the way. I had to watch a fansub because there's no release here, too bad about the quality.

Hey, I've read your review of GaoGaiGar, but is there more you can tell me? I've been thinking of watching the show, but I hear the OVA sequel isn't that good and the "darker and edgier" and fanservice gets played to unnecessary levels.
