I do the "looks cool" thing a lot actually, especially with Transformers. For me, I fiddle with my toys too much to be considered just display collectibles, so I like it when they have value as toys themselves too. Kinda like a Toy Story cast of sorts, I guess.

Probably why my collection has no purpose whatsoever. If you look at the Detolf shelf in the living room, it's like this:

Then, DX GokaiOh with SH Figuarts GokaiRed, W, and Fourze
Then, DX GaoLion and GoZyuJin
Then, Masterpiece Grimlock and Animated Leader Class Ultra Magnus

In my room, one shelf alone has a Mobirates and 5 Ranger Keys, a Chrono Changer, DX Wolzard, a random Fourze switch, ROTF Legends Devastator, a Dalek, a group of ponies, Chell from Portal, and a Lego Gingerbread man. Maybe I should post a photo of that.

Megaforce should be the same time as the UK or later. In general shows take forever to reach here. Clone Wars was on Season 3 when Season 5 was running in the US. My Little Pony only recently started showing season 2 when Season 4 is premiering this month. Even Doctor Who, which is fairly punctual, is released on TV a week after the US and UK gets it, and if you want to watch it earlier, it's after a few hours of the premier on ABC iView in low resolution.

Movies are seldom better, lots of our animated Disney stuff premiers a month later. Many other movies are the same, though occasionally it's earlier than the US.

All this is for the stuff that actually gets here at all. Tons of stuff don't! There is a reason Australians are top in the world for illegal downloading.

I don't think I'll like Boukenger either, but the toys look good. I wonder, is it weird to buy toys of a show you don't watch?

We suck for everything that has a local distributor. The only reason Japanese stuff is comparable is because every non-Japanese has to import the same way. Lego Australia, Hasbro Australia, Mattel Australia, ABC (the Australian partner of BBC), etc all charge high prices for local distribution and it's crazy. Here's the craziest example recently. Pokemon X and Y soundtrack, $9.99/£7.99/€8.99. Australian release of exact same thing? $16.99.

I was actually thinking of getting some Boukenger mecha because I've always been impressed by them, but I actually don't watch the show.

Ah well, not surprising for Australia. I wonder if I should just spend that money on some Japanese imports, which are often cheaper.

Hmm, they look mighty impressive, but I really don't know considering how ridiculously expensive it is here. It's $150 AUD at cheapest which is..around £88. Is that normal?

Hey Zeo, ever pick up those large 13" Daleks? There are three here now, two are RC and one isn't. The RC ones are the (Bronze) Asylum and (White) Supreme Daleks. The non RC is a large one with the Union Jack color scheme, British Icon Dalek.

I forgot him! So thats Mythological creatures, shapes, a boxer, a giant tire, a tiki-god, and a pyramid. .. And I thought the guys who made katamari damachi were on good mushrooms.

Looking back, I don't think ohranger/Zeo knew what it was. Mechwise, I mean. "Here's mythological mechs! NO! Here's a Boxer! And here's some shapes! And why not, have a giant-ass Tire and a Tiki-God!"

Oh, okay.

But to be honest, I'm beginning to find that EVs are not really all they're cracked up to be, judging by my constant losses.
