Izanagi's only strength is his debuffs and the fact that you can't get any other Personas with Zio early on, and that might have been changed in Golden. I think the reason why P3 clicks more with me than P4 is because you aren't given things for free, getting to build all the friendships and the whole cast takes genuine effort.
