They are one in the same. Minako was Sailor V before Sailor Venus and was a "decoy Senshi" who would fight faceless goons until the true Moon Princess could be located. Codename: Sailor V ran alongside the Sailor Moon manga (and thusly, anime), which was a bit weird, but helped in the expansion of Minako and her life before becoming a Senshi (which was much needed. Girl was mysterious with a capital M).

Well, I'm happy she's pink now. I'm totally forgoing the Kyoryuger line to invest in Dino Charge, and I have a sneaking feeling I'd like Dino Charge as a show better, too.
