Well look at it this way, if you're old school, you can easily shift your skills. If you do just digital you can't go old-school.

I use my ipad for my work, but it's not very precise, and of course there's no pressure sensitivity. So a lot of the lines I have to "fake" when I draw and it's a really time-consuming process.

Although I think a tablet will get a lot of getting used to. Basically you don't see anything on the tablet itself, you look at your monitor screen while you draw on the tablet. It'll be a weird feeling.

Oh by the way I'm getting a computer tablet pad! You know those that replace the mouse with a pen device? I'm not sure how useful they'll be though, but anything probably beats a mouse.

You know I never liked using traditional mediums because there's no undo button! That's why I commend you for using them. I use digital because you can fix mistakes endless times.
